STAPPIE NA OAKHURST : SONDAG 01 MAART 2015

OAKHURST OUTING (COMPLETE)

 Oakhurst_2014_American_Colonial_b.jpgOakhurst_Outing_2_b.jpg

Sunday’s 01 March visit to the historic Oakhurst farm & house was memorable. The speakers were well-informed with interesting presentations. The US colonial double-storeyed Oakhurst homestead was an admirable back-drop to the oak-shadowed lawn over which everyone happily disported themselves.

Participants were unanimous & effusive in their appreciation of the opportunity to visit such a historical & gracious home.

The outing & its enjoyment would not have been possible without the kind generosity & concern of the owner, Karen, & her two children Lucy & Jake.

Disclaimer: Members of the Simon van der Stel Foundation are reminded that they participate in the society’s activities of their own volition and that they accept any risk which may be associated with the outing.
